About the project

Ocean Conversion held a art and poetry contest for primary school students in Tortola in 2007 and decided to honour the winners in a 2008 Calendar. Oyster Global Marketing contracted me to shoot portraits of the children playing in the pools at The Moorings and Prospect Reef and design the calendar.

My focus on this project was to let the children have fun in the pool and interpret the 'water is life' concept as not just sustenance, but as energy, exuberance, and youth.
